Hutton Triptych Reserve Chardonnay 2018

‘Nectarine and ripe lime, a whiff of aniseed and caramel, ginger and nougat oak. It’s fluid and glossy, a gentle caramel glaze over bright and intense pear and lime flavour, tight juicy acidity and fine chalk and quartz texture, a smooth and long finish, brown lime with a touch of butter and clove trailing in the aftertaste. It’s classic Margaret River, with a little something extra.’

Hutton Triptych Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

‘Those Guylian seashell chocolates, mint, sage, blackberry, cedar. Medium-bodied, fresh and lithe, but not lacking in flavour, tightly knit tannin, cool acidity, shows restraint, but lets go on the long finish. Very good. Stylish.’

Hutton Triptych Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

‘Mint chocolate, blackberry, sage, exotic spice and cedar. It’s medium-bodied, tobacco and dark fruits, a grainy and firm feel to the tannin, not quite green bean flavour, but certainly pretty strict. Cool acidity, linear style, not fleshy but nice and long. Finishes with a dried herb and choc-mint aftertaste. I’d expect time will be kind to this wine.’

Hutton Triptych Chardonnay 2018

‘A little bit riper this year with green melon, lime, vanilla, aniseed and spice. Slick with a light caramel cream, but tight juicy citrus acidity, some flinty texture, delicious key lime pie flavour and a crunchy long finish with a smattering of green herb. Nice one.’
